Senior Kannada actress Arundhati Nag was announced as the winner of Best Supporting Actress’ award at the 57th National Film Awards 2009-2010 for her wonderful performance in Big B starrer Blockbuster Bollywood movie Paa. ArundhatiNag’s Award also includes a Rajat Kamal and Rs. Rs 50,000 amount. Arundati Naag is the wife of late Kannada actor Shankar Nag has played Vidya Balan’s mother and grandmom of Auro’s (Amitabh Bachchan) in the film Paa. The movie Paa is a 2009 Indian film directed by R. Balakrishnan starring Amitab Bachan, Abhishek Bachchan, and Vidya Balan. The film is based on a rare genetic condition known as progeria and places emphasis on a father-son relationship.
